i don't think its to do with the lever or tension because it will come up every time I push the lever again. YT started making/branding their own seatposts recently, and the Jeffsy comes with a Postman dropper in a 150mm length for the size large we tested (drop length varies by frame size). This dropper worked flawlessly for us during testing, and the 1x remote has good ergonomics and a light lever feel.

Action was great, it didn’t wobble, has a positive lever feel and nothing curious happened over time. And, it’s a 170-millimeter dropper on a $2,300 bike, again, awesome. Then the bike is finished with YT's own Postman dropper post, a Renthal Fatbar 35mm, and Sense Swayze grips.

The 29er XL seat tube is 5mm shorter than the 27.5. Sounds like that shouldn't be a problem then. The low profile 29×2.35″ MAXXIS Forekaster tires are mounted to DT Swiss M1900 wheels and the YT Postman dropper post gives 150 mm adjustment. The bike’s standout feature is the RockShox Twist-Loc lever with which you can lock out the FOX FLOAT shock from the cockpit.
